The Pettibone Mansion

The Pettibone Mansion, which began life in 1852 as a comfortable farmhouse on the edge of Milwaukee, today is home to the well known Wisconsin law firm, The Boyle Law Group. What local historians believe to be the oldest private residence on Wisconsin Avenue was constructed by Sylvester Pettibone, a Connecticut Yankee who made the trek west to Wisconsin in 1836, a dozen years before statehood.
