Attorney Boyle graduated with a B.A. in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. He commissioned a Second Lieutenant
in the United States Marine Corps in 1994 and began Active Duty in October of that same year. Served as platoon commander, weapons platoon, Company B, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment; then served as Executive Officer, Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine
Regiment from 1995 to 1997.
